I love some of the options for tile out there right now!  Whether it is an entire floor, a shower or just a backsplash there are some many ways to create the look you want! I have rounded up a few of my favorites:

Well, I am convinced.  I am now a tile fan.  Now if only I had a magic wand to change our blue tile bathroom in to one of these tiled beauties.

A fall spread

I thought I would pop in real quick and give yall a couple of pictures of the spread at my friend Chelsea's shower this weekend!  Our friend Jen hosted it at her place, and I helped her with the food and decoration. Yes, that is underwear on a pumpkin!

These cheese appetizer is cute as a pumpkin and super easy!

1 8 oz of cream cheese softened
1 8 oz of spreadable chive and onion cream cheese

Blend together

Add 2 cups of sharp cheddar chredded (I used Cabot seriously sharp)
2 teaspoons of paprika
1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

Stir together, shape in a ball, wrap in plastic wrap and place in fridge for four hours.
Unwrap,  carve lines and stick a 2-3 inch celery stalk in the top!

We also had these delicious pumpkin pie bites!

In honor of the fashion friday post on navajo and aztec inspired fashion, my friends over at In Haus Press have decided to sponsor a great giveaway!

Have you seen these lovelies floating around on etsy and pinterest?  I love them! I am huge fan of coasters anyways, but these are awesome.

So, what do you need to do to make these yours?  You have a few options:

1. Follow Lowlife Couture with google reader (must)

2. Add me to your blog list on your personal blog

3. Tweet or blog about the giveway!

Leave me a comment, letting me know which things you did!  Winner will be chosen using random.org on November 7 at 8:00 am.

Check out this great interview with Treasa at In Haus Press!

Good luck, now go make these beauties yours....

I love the new trend of aztec and navajo prints.  As a matter of fact, I just picked up this cute hoodie from TJ Maxx recently that has a similar feel (and is SUPER comfy!)

Are you buying into the look?  Here is some inspiration in case you make it out and about this weekend:

a thursday pick me up

I have jumped on the Toms bandwagon, and am loving life! I picked up these pretties a couple weeks back:

I love them because they are functional yet super cute.  I get so many compliments on them.  I was really wanting a fall/winter shoe that wasn't boots.  And these are the perfect solution! They are really cute with skinnys of any color, as well as leggings when you are on the go! Do you have Toms?  I would love to know your favorites.

Today on my way to a meeting I am going to drop by the NEW Marshalls/Homegoods grand opening here in Charleston!  I can't wait to scope out the merchandise, I will be sure to report back.

There have been quite a few of scarf tutorials making there way around, but if you have not seen this one it is great!

Also, remember that cute DIY bracelet that I posted here last week?  Well here in my version:

I know that I have posted once about Trader Joe's amazing pumpkin pancake/waffle mix.  But I feel as though yall may need a reminder.  GO GET IT! We ate it twice on birthday week and it was amazing. Seriously, you can't beat it for $2.99.

And lastly, my next project, is to attempt to paint a plain white duvet with a greek key design for our guest bedroom.  My friend Anna over at A Newfound Treasure inspired me to take on the project.

I'll let you know the results, as well as my finds at the new Marshall's opening!

sometimes more is more

I never really thought of the option of layering rugs.  But, let me tell you what I am loving it!  I have been drooling over all of the options.  It is the perfect way to combine styles: kilim, cow hide, jute, chevron, wool, lambswool, pick two any two (or four)!

This will go into effect sometime in the near future in my own living room, I'll report back! Here is some inspiration:

a colorful little number

I have been loving this anthropologie skirt since I saw it in the catalog a few months ago, however it is over priced for my liking!  Anthro tends to have great sales, so I have been patiently waiting for this wish list item to be knocked down.  Alas, no such luck as of yet.  I had some fun with it on polyvore though, just in case it finds its way into my closet!

What are you spying at Anthro these days?  I could do (maybe I will!) a whole post on my wishlist.  It is a good thing we dont have one in Charleston, I would be in big trouble!

getting out the sewing machine!

We have a pretty busy weekend ahead of us!  Tomorrow morning our small group is having a garage sale (shoot me an email if you live in Charleston).  After that we will continue to celebrate the hubby with a few friends over oysters, chili, cobbler and college football!

But, if we have time I will be pulling out the sewing machine to make a pillow or two out of this fun print that is calling my name!

Happy weekend yall, enjoy this awesome weather!

Fashion Friday

We have all seen the trend of stacking bracelets all the way up your arm!  And, I love it!  (I am not going to lie, in my head I give my mama credit for this trend, she has been stacking those bracelets since I can remember! )

Here is some inspiration to get to stacking!

I am ready to make some additions to my collection, here are my next two:

Made By Girl just introduced these beauties to her store, she is already sold out of a lot of colors. When she restocks I will be sure to snag one!

And then this great DIY that just takes a trip to the hardware store and some twine.  This has been on my to-do list for months, maybe this weekend it will happen.

What do yall think?  Do you stack?  Happy weekend friends!
